Harry Basiel Luck

With profound sadness, the family of Harry B. Luck, 78 of Stafford, announces that he peacefully passed away at home on Monday, December 25, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Harry was born on June 11, 1945, to the late John Luck and Emma Luck Talley. Harry attended Spotsylvania County Schools and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Spotsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969 during the Vietnam War era. On November 14, 1970, he wed Rhonda Simms, and they were married for 53 years. From this union was born two children, Kim Luck and Brandon Luck. Harry was the owner and operator of H.B. Guttering for 35 years. He was the top gutter man in the area and was well known throughout the community. Harry liked to hunt, fish, and watch sports on TV. He especially liked to spend time with family, cook crabs, and go to Charlestown, WV, where he had many friends. Survivors include his wife Rhonda Luck; daughter Kim Luck; son Brandon Luck and his wife Marianna; two grandchildren, Bethany and Ryan Luck; four sisters, Catherine Hamby, Marion Harding, Phyllis Beverly, and Lillie Harding; and one brother Charlie Talley as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three siblings, Ann Roberts, Tom Acors, and Alfred Luck. A funeral service for Harry will be officiated by Reverend Bob Ellinger on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401 with visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Entombment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3702 Loren Drive, Fredericksburg, Virginia. Pallbearers for the service will be: Richard Leaman, Sr.; Richard "Buddy" Leaman, Jr.; Christopher Durbin; Bruce "B.J." Johnson, Jr.; Joshua Morris; and Bruce Johnson III.
