She was born on August 25, 1949 to Roger and Innis Parham Blakes.
She is survived by her daughter Maria Santa-Torres of Fredericksburg one granddaughter Helena Santa-Torres. She is also survived by three sisters; Vickie Robinson of Jarratt, Va., Melinda Hall of Raleigh, NC and Darlene Blakes-Murillo Also of Jarrett, Va.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at 11 am at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service Fredericksburg Chapel 1621 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Interment will take place later in the day at the family cemetery at 19166 Green church Rd. Jarratt, Va. 23867. South of Petersburg, Va.
