He was born on July 1, 1981, in Columbia, South Carolina to John Wallace Patrick Jr. and Sharon Kay (Francis) Patrick.
Mike was always helping others whether it was shoveling snow, working on vehicles, resetting security systems, helping with building or house repairs, mowing the lawn, or just helping someone who was broke down on the side of the road. He had a heart of gold.
He was a tremendous help to his parents always asking if they needed him to do anything or if he could help with anything. He built a shed for his dad and Scout Troop 290g and helped to add a room for his grandfather to his parent’s home. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him!
Michael was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and helped his dad with maintenance and other areas that needed work at the American Legion Post 290. It didn’t matter if it was just moving supplies, working on the American Legion van, or helping with landscaping issues that needed to be addressed. His contributions to American Legion Post 290 will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his parents: John W. Patrick and Sharon Patrick; one daughter, Keira Patrick; one brother, JW Patrick and wife Kerry; one niece, Charlotte Patrick and three nephews: Elliott Patrick, Garrett Patrick and Wyatt Patrick.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post 290, 1141 Mountain View Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22406. Following the memorial service the family will celebrate Mike’s life with a reception until 5:00 PM.
