Obituary of Jayme Pavia
On Tuesday April 20, 2021, Jayme Pavia, loving mother and “Honey” peacefully passed away at the age of 69 in her home surrounded by family. Jayme was born on May 25, 1951 on Staten Island New York. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Mary Washington University and her Master's in Education from Marymount University. She went on to be a favorite teacher of many during her 15 years teaching in the Fairfax County school system. Honey, as she was known best to her family, was preceded in death by her father, James, and her mother, Edna. She is survived by her three children Jessica (Ken), Jayme (Chris) and Louis (Kate); and her eight grandchildren who she loved immensely, Kenneth (18), Hayley (17), Donovan(16), Christopher(15), Mae (9), Frances(6), Louis IV (4) and Eleanor (3 mos). Honey was passionate about her family. She was at her happiest when everyone could come together for an abundance of food and laughter. Honey was known by many for her quick wit, sense of humor, and beautiful giving spirit. But, above all, the trait that she will be most remembered for was her unwavering strength. Through adversity she always showed grace and composure. She was the perfect example of a person who saw adversity as a stepping stone to greatness. As we struggle to deal with the grief from this enormous loss, we remind ourselves of one of Honey‘s favorite sayings. “It’s not enough to do your best. You do what you have to do“. A celebration of Honey’s life will be held at her favorite place to be, her home, on Sunday April 25th from 2:00pm - 5:00pm where we can gather to reminisce, support one another, and maybe even play a game of Mahjong. Online condolences for the family may be made at Mullinsthompsonfredericksburg.com
