Jeremy Thomas Sacra, 40, of Partlow passed away at University of Virginia Hospital on March 11, 2025. He fought courageously to battle multiple health issues over the past several months prior to God calling him home.
Jeremy went to school in Spotsylvania, worked in construction, and played drums in a local band for many years. He loved sports, especially NASCAR racing and his beloved Dallas Cowboys, a true fan his whole life. Jeremy was a fixture in his home locale of Partlow, and he loved his trips to Nags Head, but the greatest love of his life was his son, who was always by his side.
Jeremy leaves behind to mourn his passing his son, Brantley, his step daughter, Cadence Ball, his mother and step father, Terry and Chad Moore, his father, Tommy Sacra, his maternal grandmother, Margaret Carter, his brother and sister in law, Brandon and Kelly Handy, and his step brothers, Steven (Jaimie) and Jarrad Moore. Jeremy shared a special bond with his uncle, Troy Sacra, Sr. and his wife, Susie. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Dottie Sacra and Elmo Proffitt.
Pallbearers will be Troy Sacra, Jr., Bradley Sacra, Steven Moore, Jarrad Moore, Andy Acors, Rob Maisonneuve, Nathan Handy and Tyler Handy.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Highway in Fredericksburg. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 11 am at Wallers Baptist Church, 4001 Partlow Road, Partlow. VA 22534. Interment will follow the service at Wallers Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to a fund set up for Jeremy's son, Brantley T. Sacra at Topside Federal Credit Union, or by donation to the American Cancer Society.
