She is survived by her husband of 53 years Bobby Scott Vaughan, Sr.; children, Shelia E. Vaughan and Bobby S. Vaughan, Jr. (Nancy); five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Liston and Julia Dickerson and her brother Liston Stewart Dickerson, Jr.
She was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church in Widewater, Virginia. She retired as an accounting technician from civil service USMC, Quantico but also worked in Stafford County School Systems.
The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the care and support of Dr. Leroy Essig and his staff for years of dedicated care.
The family will receive friends at 12 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg; where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
