Julie was born on December 10, 1964, in Fredericksburg, VA to Joe F. and Janice (Payne) Clift.
She grew up in King George, graduating from KGHS in 1983 with friends who would last a lifetime. Her thirst for education was insatiable - she truly loved learning and loved teaching others. She received her undergraduate degree from James Madison University, her Masters from George Mason University and her Doctorate from Grand Canyon University.
Predeceased by her father: Joe F. Clift and her brother: Mike Clift.
Survivors include her mother: Janice Clift; her two children: Rebecca Pierce (Taylor) and Jonathan Mersiowsky (Courtney) whom she shares with Scott Mersiowsky; two brothers: Joe F. Clift, Jr. (Trudy) and Jeffrey Clift (Amie); sister-in-law: Donna Clift; two grandchildren: Rowan Pierce and Tucker Pierce; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved Labrador: Parker.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401 where a memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM.
