Keith Arlington Roop, 98 of Stafford passed away at his residence on Sunday, December 7, 2025. He was a retired US Army Veteran. While in the military, he worked for the White House communications, under President John F. Kennedy up until President Ronald Reagan.
He is survived by his children, Stanley Roop (Deborah), Cheryl Harrison (James), and Michael Roop (Connie); Grandchildren Chad, Sean, Dale, Stanley Jr., Christopher, Michelle, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Candice and Victoria; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and sister, Claranell Waddel.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Edna, son, Stephen Roop, and grandson, James Lewis Harrison, Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel at 11:00 am, with a visitation an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
