IN THE CARE OF
Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service
Lillian Doris Barber the daughter of the late William Marsh and Aurelia Davis was born in Pine Mountain, Georgia on December 15, 1929. Lillian accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age. God called her home on October 30, 2023 at her residence in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She was 93.
Lillian married Pal Barber from that union five children were born, Ferrell Barber, Alphonso Barber, Teresa White, Camilla White and Kenneth Barber. Lillian was a loving mother and wife. She devoted her life to being a housewife until all of her children graduated from school. Lillian loved the Lord and was a servant leader. Lillian served as a Deaconess and was a member of the Missionary Circle at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. Lillian attended The Interdenominational Church Ushers Association (ICUA), School of Ushering. Lillian also worked for the Federal Government until she retired.
Lillian was a provider and a nurturer who looked out for those around her. You could always count on a meal to nourish your soul. Not only did you feel the warmth from her food but you also just felt love being in her presence. She had a gentle soul but you knew when she meant business. Her smile was contagious which presented such a great energy.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Pal Barber, oldest son Ferrell
Barber, youngest son Kenneth Barber, four brothers, and one sister.
Lillian leaves to cherish fond memories to her son Alphonso Barber; daughters Teresa White and Camilla White. Her legacy is celebrated through her grandchildren Nakhia Barber, Tamiko Green, Sherrell Barber, Alphonso Barber Jr., Mark Barber, Josh Barber, Dwight Dillard, Danyell Dillard, Raphael Dillard, Tenisha White, Kenneth Barber, Jr., numerous great grandchildren and a host of close friends and family.
Her light still shines in memories of love and laughter shared, in all the ways she touched your life and all the ways she cared. To God be the glory for the life God deposited among us that impacted so many.
