Mabel Catherine Pixley, 80, of Spotsylvania passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, June 1, 2016, after a brief illness. Mabel was born in Borden, Indiana. She is one of 8 siblings, 1 brother and 7 sisters. The largest part of her life was spent as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Mabel is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Gerald; son Jerry D. Pixley (Rachelanne); daughter Teresa Martocci (John); five grandchildren, Ashleigh Toner, Sarah Eidson, Daniel, Michael, and Jessica Martocci; and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg from 5-7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held in Quantico National Cemetery on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The American Heart Association
