Born in Harrow, England, she eventually moved to the US, bringing her lovely accent and witty sense of humor with her for everyone to enjoy. Any time spent with Margaret involved lots of laughter!
She is survived by her two sisters: Barb Othen and Rosa McClelland; her four children: Anthony Chang, Sharon Yamada, Lisa Connolly and Kristy Marbury; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; as well as her nieces, nephews and their children.
Because she was such an amazing woman, she gained an extended family of friends she “adopted” as her own. They affectionately knew her as their “Mum” or “Granny”, even though they weren’t related by blood. That part never mattered to Margaret, she loved us all. And for that, she holds a special place in all of our hearts.
The family will receive friends to celebrate her life from 6-9 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Bring your stories, you know how Margaret loved them!
