Mrs. Wellington was born in Illinois on Aug. 11, 1924, to Gerald and Marie Zeilstra. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 63 years, John A. Wellington.
She is survived by her daughter, Marie Annette Wellington of Fredericksburg.
Mrs. Wellington received her bachelor's degree from St. Mary of the Woods College in Terre Haute, Ind., and a doctoral degree from Northwestern University.
