Mark Dennis Lohr

Born on November 14, 1958, in Gordonsville, Virginia, Mark was the son of Charles Marshall Lohr and Helen Emogene (Howell) Lohr. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Marshall Lohr.

Mark was a man who loved life, family, and anything with wheels. He had a lifelong passion for restoring classic cars and trucks and spent many years working in auto body restoration before later building a career in automotive paint sales. He also loved riding his Harley Davidson and was happiest on the open road. Mark had a special love for dogs and always had a soft spot for his loyal four-legged companions.

In 1972, Mark proudly won the Fredericksburg Soap Box Derby, a tradition he later passed down to his family, creating cherished memories for generations.

Above all, Mark loved his family deeply. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 50 years, Mary Ann Lohr; his son, Charles Marcus Lohr and wife, Terri, and children, Zachary, Zora, and Hannah Lohr; his daughter Ashley “Dody” McCallum and husband Jeff, and children, Logan and wife, Jamie, Tylor, Bryce, and Liam.

He is also survived by his loving mother, Helen Emogene Moseley; his brothers, Gary Lohr, Todd Lohr and wife, Robin, and children, Michael and Brandon Lohr; and Clay Lohr as well as many beloved extended family members and friends.

Mark will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, love of family, and the joy he found in cars, motorcycles, and time spent with those he loved most. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, and treasured memories that will live on in all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Services, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA at 12:00 Noon with the family receiving friends one hour prior. Interment will follow at Mt. Nebo Lutheran Church Cemetery, 3980 Jacks Shop Road, Barboursville, VA 22923.
