
Marlene Margaret Hogancamp, 78 of Fredericksburg, VA passed away Sunday April 22, 2012 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center where she received excellent care during a battle of ovarian cancer. Mrs. Hogancamp was born in Ogdensburg, New York on November 5, 1933 to Leo and Blanche LeGaualt. Mrs. Hogancamp received her education at Syracuse University, in New York. She worked most of her life in different hospitals, and eventually retired as Director of Human Resources at Dominion Hospital in Falls Church, VA. She was loved by many people, including her grandchildren, and many friends. Marlene was always there for friends and family and even her grandchildren’s friends whenever they had a problem or just needed to talk. She was known to everyone as “Gee Wee”. She was a volunteer at the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, and worked downtown Fredericksburg, at Upstairs Downstairs selling antiques. She had a great way with people and loved to have long conversations. She was a strong, caring, extremely bright woman, always willing to lend a helping hand, and to help someone in need. She will be so dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her. She is survived by her son John Newhart and daughter Michelle Pischner, son in law, Steven Pischner and daughter in-law Lori Newhart. Marlene has 5 beautiful grandchildren, Steven M. Pischner, Brandon Pischner, Nicholas Pischner, Christopher Newhart, and Kelli Newhart, who were all a large part of her live. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 5, 2012 at 2 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service Fredericksburg Chapel 1621 Jefferson Davis Hwy.
