I will be forever grateful for Mary's kind and thoughtful supervision of my Master's thesis. My favorite memory, however, will be of her standing at the top of the stairs with my 3 year old daughter in Allegheny's Carnegie Hall kicking boxes down the stairs with sheer and utter joy. She gave us both the courage not to care what others might think.
My condolences to her family.

Our family members are deeply saddened to learn of Mary's death. She was a wonderful colleague who contributed greatly to the life of Allegheny College, her faculty colleagues and many grateful students.

A special hug to Charles Hudak, our boys' favorite baby sitter when they were young.

Love to all,

George, Teresa, George W. and Charles Roland

It was my personal joy to share a pew with Mary Hudak almost every Sunday at Lake of the Woods Church. What really touched me were her prayers and her clear concern about my health after she heard of my struggle with high blood pressure. That is her! Always caring deeply, sincerely about others welfare. I will miss you sitting next to me at worship services. I'm happy Debbie and children will carry your torch well. Safe at home at last!

I am very sorry to hear of Mary's passing. I felt a closeness to her not only because of common backgrounds but she was a very caring, sincere person who felt very strongly about her family and friends. I only hope that her final days were peaceful for her. She was a strong person who had gone through some times which I think a lesser person would never have endured. I am going to be out of town this weekend, thus I will be unable to attend the memorial service. I heard so much about your family and would have found it so meaningful to share this time with you all. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
