

She was born on December 24, 1934, in Stafford County, VA to the late Albert and Edith (Wenger) Hemp.
Ms. Carter (Liz) was an entrepreneur who started by working for herself as a seamstress for 25 years. She then opened up a family business, L & L limousines while she also drove the Bus for Spotsylvania County Schools, until she eventually opened up another family business, Spotsylvania Driving School which she owned and operated for almost 40 years.
Predeceased by her parents; four sisters: Margaret, Mary, Mildred and Marion; two daughters: Bonnie Drury and Deborah Greer; and one great grandson, Larry Booth III.
Survivors include six grandchildren: Anjelica Greer, William Greer III, Alicia Allen, April Drury, Tina Drury, Melissa Booth; eight great grandchildren: Amya Allen, Amir Allen, Ezio Walker, Harley Booth, Dalton Booth, Kylie Staton and Emilio Ray, Malayah Mason; 2 great great grandchildren Anastasia Booth and Paisley Booth, Stepdaughters Diane Carter & Denise Carter; and numerous nieces, & nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Gordon Road Church of God, 10613 Gordon Rd, Spotsylvania, VA 22553 with Pastors Tommy Carnahan and Perry Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
