My heart goes out to you Barbara, Sharon and Jennifer. May God be with each of you and carry you through the bad days. Melvin was always such a great person. We would chat about life, work and our countdowns to retirement. I could always count on him making me smile with his quick wit and sense of humor. I love your family and am here for you all. ❤️🙏🏼

Barbara, I am so sorry to hear about your husband's death. I do remember that he had sense of humor; he was telling me and James some stories about black snakes on your property. I know he is no longer suffering. This world has becoming a lot worse as I have noticed it; it means that Jesus will be returning someday real soon as he will be our King and our Government. You will be in my prayers. May God always bless you and your families.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, friends who have all known Melvin. Please stay strong and keep positive during these times. Melvin was a good hearted soul with a strong core. I know he will keep an eye on his kinda people! Right now I'm thinking there are some long awaited reunions going on the other side. Thats the silver lining I see. That and the good memories and knowing he is in a better place that we should all aspire to be one day!

I will pass along something to everyone who will feel so inspired. A few years back Melvin had suggested to me that when his time comes (sadly too soon) that people have a drink of Henry McKenna in remembrance. Many things he told me over the years stuck.. this one too...and I listened. So here is my virtual toast to Melvin and all his friends and family! Cheers to a man who loved life, family, friends; those who he held dear, and said it like it is!

To the Bennett family
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Melvin.
He was such a kind and caring person, I met Melvin when my company Kellams Plumbing & K&H builders started building houses in Spotsylvania County. Boy he was a character and then later down the road we became friends. He will truly be missed by so many people.
Prayers to the Bennett Family, may God watch over each and every member of the Bennett Family, during this Difficult Time.

This was such sad news to hear. I always really liked seeing Melvin in the library with Barbara. He gave as good as he got! Your family has seen hard times before, and you will get through this, but oh, it's hard. Love to all of you.
