Mildred Geneva Stanley

She is predeceased by her husband, H.B. Stanley; parents, Blair Ginn andEthel Parker ; sisters, Geneieve Pashkovsky, and Audrey Dickerson; brother, “Junior” Ginn; and sons, Wayne “Two Star” Stanley and Charles “Skipper” Stanley.

She is survived by her daughter, Etta Sams; sister, Edna “Bunny” Lamont; grandchildren Carson Sams, Heather Sams, Susan Stanley, Roger Stanley, and Eric Stanley; great grandchildren, Blake Knight and several other great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and fishing. She loved her family dearly and was a grandmother to everyone she met. She was well known in the Triangle/Dumfries community. Before retiring from Dumfries Elementary School as a cafeteria manager, she fed half the Dumfries area children with love and care. Everyone knew her for her patience, kindness, love and caring way to help others. She was always full of spirit and always had a smile on her face.

A service will be held Friday, October 19, 2012 at Quantico National Cemetery at 11 a.m.
