

He was a very loving and generous person. He enjoyed being with his boys and grandchildren. His favorite football team was the New England Patriots. At WHS homecomings you would find him manning the grills.
Monty attended elementary schools in Richmond, VA and Great Falls, Montana. His high school time was attended in Florence, SC, Japan and Edwards Air Force Base California where he graduated from Desert High School in June 1982. Because he had ties in South Carolina he celebrated Homecomings with the Class of 1982 from Wilson High School. He also attended Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina.
Monty was baptized at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church and was a member of Mount Pisgah. Later he joined Ebenezer Baptist Church in Woodbridge, VA. He attended Restoration in King George ,VA.
Monty was a tractor trailers truck driver for twenty five years. His last and most recent job was that of a motor coach technician for the last fifteen years until his demise.
Monty lived to grieve the death of his mother Eartha Robinson Johnson, maternal grandparents Harry Robinson and Nancy Robinson Hillery, paternal grandparents Isaac and Clara Johnson and a son Christopher Robinson.
Left to cherish precious memories and celebrate his life is his wife Jessica Giron Menjivar she was the love of his life. His father Isaac (Coco) Johnson of Las Vega, NV. Four sons Isaac (Jessica) Johnson, Monty Johnson, Shakeal and LaMont White all of Richmond, VA. Brothers Milton Johnson of Richmond, VA and Alvin Johnson of Las Vegas, NV. A sister Linda (Harry) Gibelyou of Spokane, Washington;two step-sisters Anna and Ashley Agoha. Nine grandchildren. Two aunts Carolyn Jackson of Florence, SC and Betty (Arthur) Haynesworth of Stafford, VA. Two sisters-in-laws Laura Giron Menjivar of Fredericksburg, VA and Sandra Giron of Los Angeles, CA. Mother-in-law Blanca Maribel Giron of El Salvador. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A very dear friend to both him and Jessica Mary Coles.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be private.
