
Nancy was a soft-spoken woman with a kind heart, a stubborn streak, and a wonderful sense of humor that those closest to her knew and loved. While she often preferred the quiet comfort of home, she deeply cherished her family and the special moments shared with them throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William L. Allen Sr., and her parents, Wilbert Hodge and Wilma J. Allen.
Nancy is survived by her children, Valerie L. Garcia and her husband, Ernest Peavey; William L. Allen Jr.; Amanda S. Allen and her fiancé, Matthew Heller; and Michael B. Allen and his wife, Carlina M. Allen. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Harold Allen. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, William D. Allen and his wife, Ashley D. Allen; Brandon G. Keeney Jr.; Jada M. Allen; Lillian R. Caldwell; Michael B. Allen Jr.; and Maci L. Allen. Nancy was also looking forward to the arrival of her first great-grandchild, Azalyn J. Allen.
One of Nancy’s greatest joys in life was her beloved dog, Ruby. The two were rarely apart, and Ruby was more than a pet—she was Nancy’s faithful companion, best friend, and constant source of comfort. Anyone who knew Nancy knew how much she loved Ruby and how much happiness Ruby brought to her life.
Nancy found comfort in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed spending quiet time at home with Ruby by her side and treasured the visits, conversations, and memories shared with her children and grandchildren. Though she was not one to seek the spotlight, her kindness, warmth, and gentle nature left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.
Nancy will be remembered for her loving heart, her quiet strength, her humor, and her unwavering love for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the many stories and memories they will continue to share.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
