Patricia Anne Burke

Nina Patricia Anne (Williams) Burke rejoined her Maker August 24, 2011. She was born July 12, 1959 in Nashville, TN. Nina spent most of her life in the Northern Virginia area, the last 15 years in Fredericksburg, VA, with sojourns in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Nina is survived by her husband Steve Burke; her parents Spencer and Brownie Williams; her siblings John (Stacey) Williams, Laurie Williams Lopez, and Kati Williams Bernedo; her aunt Pat Reid and cousins Britt and Bruce Reid; her brother-in-law Chris (Susie) Burke; and her beloved nieces and nephews Andres and Erica Lopez, and Spencer, Landon, Alwyn, and Bowen Williams. She touched many lives, including numerous friends and co-workers at Wiley Rein, where she worked for 11 years.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm tonight at mullins and Thompson funeral service, Fredericksburg. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, august 29, 2011 at 1:00 pm at st Mary of the immaculate conception catholic church, burial will follow in Oak hill cemetery.

Nina was an avid and talented Jill-of-all-trades who loved making things for friends and family. She had a fiercely independent spirit and was deeply passionate about causes she held dear. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Paul Stefan Foundation (www.paulstefanhome.org).
