

Mrs. Hutchens was born July 4, 1943, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She was first and foremost a Domestic Homemaker for her Husband and Children, she also worked outside of the home for the Colonial Beach and Stafford County school districts as a Bus Driver, the A&P as a Cashier, and an aide at the Nursing Home located in Fredericksburg, VA.
Mrs. Hutchens, daughter of the late Frederick A. Boulanger and Charlotte Marie Boulanger (Emerson), also preceded in death by her Husband, Ray Thomas Hutchens; her sons, Ray Thomas Hutchens, Jr., and David Reese Hutchens; two brothers, Herbert, and Frederick (Ricky) Boulanger; and two sisters, Marie Foote, and Gertrude Cox.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Showard, and her Husband Steve: Juanita Makuta and her Husband Mark, 11 grandchildren David Shawn Hutchens, Patricia McDougal, Toni Buddington, Jenna Floyd, Kristy Makuta, Brittany Makuta, Sara Hutchens, Lisa Hutchens, Anna Graham, David R. Hutchens, II. and Maranda Blair, 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Charlene Branson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 7, at 1:00 – 2:00 pm at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22401 www.dignitymemorial.com; followed by a funeral service celebrating Mrs. Hutchens’ life at 2:00 pm with Rev. John Hodgen officiating.
