Patsy Louis Del Vecchio
February 29, 1924 – February 9, 2020

Patsy DelVecchio passed peacefully at home on Saturday, February 8th. He was 95. He was a WWII marine who fought in the South Pacific. He met his future wife, Kitty, in December of 1944. And they were joined together on March 17, 1945 and were married for 69 years until Kitty passed on July 3, 2014. Like his father before him, he taught Kitty how to cook. He was proud member of Local 68. He had a gold seal which he needed to run the power house of the different places he worked. He worked shifts most of his life: 7-3; 3-11; and 11-7. He would switch shifts so he could attend his son’s various sporting events. He was a great patriot and a devout Roman Catholic.
He loved to bowl, was very good at it and was in a league into his 90’s. He loved the Jets and would watch just about any football game. He loved boxing and as a youth was a big fan of Joe Louis. He loved to watch his son’s play sports.
He is survived by his sons: Patrick; Mark and his wife Ann and David. He had 7 grand children: Vincent and his wife Andrea; Daniel; David; Martin and their mother Carmela; Dominic and his partner Patricia; Alex, Matt and their mother Karen. He had 5 great grand children.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church at 1009 Stafford Avenue, Fredricksburg. The burial will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can me made to St.Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church.
