She was born on October 30, 1990, in Bremerton, Washington.
Rachel was a registered nurse who prided herself in her work ethic, attention to detail and patient care. She was nominated for multiple Daisy Awards and saved many lives in her time as a nurse at the ER.
Rachel excelled in everything aside from "breathing" as she would say, despite her asthma, days off were spent in leisure at home with her wife Mandy and their animals, outdoors, or on long weekends showing goats with sister, Emily. One of her other passions involved music, which she obtained from her father, Luke. Rachel was an amazing flutist, loved listening to classical and modern music. You could tell when she was happy as you would hear her as she whistled. Another of her favorite hobbies was experimenting with cooking and sharing with her friends, a skill she was taught by her mother, Meshelle.
Rachel was an avid Dungeons and dragon player. She joked her nature was "chaotic-good," which was echoed in the sentiments of her friends and family. Her joy could be felt by everyone, her laughter was infectious. Rachel had rolled a natural 20 charisma, immediately forming bonds and leaving lasting impressions with everyone she met. She chose love above all else. She was the hearth of every group, of every "family" she made, filling everyone around her with warmth and illuminating them in her light. She was the silver lining in a sky of dark clouds.
Survivors include her parents Luke and Meshelle Harden; her loving wife Mandy Bleakly; brother, Paul Harden; sister, Emily Harden; her cats: Brinly & Wednesday; her dog, Franklin and her goats: Rouge, Echo and Silver Lining.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
