Robert Scott Curtis, 73, of Sumerduck, Virginia, passed away at his home on Thursday, 8/14/25. Robert was born in the District of Columbia on January 6, 1952 to the late Walter Scott Curtis and Jerry Sandifer Curtis. He graduated from Hunter Huss High School in 1971 then joined the US Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division for 20 years. Robert was an avid hunter and could spend hours in the woods hunting deer and even longer yelling at the Washington Redskins on TV.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Anna Fawn; brothers Jeffrey Curtis and Jerry Curtis; and sister Rebecca Curtis Pennington.
Robert is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters; Scott Curtis and wife Stacy of Gastonia, NC; Angel Fallin and husband Scott of Sanford, NC; Elliott Curtis of the United Kingdom; Roxanne Jankowski and husband Mike of Destin, FL; and Max Curtis and wife Rebecca of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by many grandchildren and other extended family.
A private memorial will be held at a later time.
