Robert Bradshaw Hancock

Robert B. Hancock, known to all as Ben, passed away on December 3, 2022. He was born October 23, 1942, in Leesburg, Virginia to Albert Hancock and Gladys Hancock (Meredith). Ben was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Albert "Snookie" Hancock Jr; sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Snyder, Linda Forrest; and son, David Hancock. Survivors include brother, Rudy Hancock; daughters, Vickie Brant, Kim Cottrell; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Ben worked for Brede Washington in Beltsville, Maryland as a carpenter and foreman for 35 years. He retired and relocated to Sarasota, Florida. He loved football and was a loyal Washington Redskins fan. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Home, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22401. Reception to follow service.
