He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jane; daughter Marie Louise Rollins of Chesterfield, VA; son, Christopher Lawson of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren, Lance, Alexis, Kirsty, and Trista; and brother, David Vitali of Jasper, AL.
A funeral service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 12:45 pm., with full military honors.
