Mrs. Newton was predeceased by her father, Algie T. Guthrie, Mother Ruby Guthrie. Her Husband Bernard, her son and daughter-in-law Charles Newton Jr.and Kathy Newton, a granddaughter Tensley Newton and step grandson Shane Nelson.
Ruth was survived by a sister Letricia G. Hall, Granddaughter Connie Groover, Kathy’s sister Carol Spencer, step-great grandson Jase Nelson, and a step- great granddaughter Jessica Sherfield. She is also survived by numerous other grandchildren and great- grandchildren and Nephews and Nieces.
The family will receive family and friends from 10:00-11:00am on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg where funeral services will be at 11:00am with Rev. Amos Healy officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
