

Sally was raised and educated in Nigeria. She later migrated to the United States in 1998, first spending some time in New York, before settling in Maryland for more than fifteen years, where she made a beautiful home and lived with her two children until retirement. After retirement, she relocated to Virginia to live with her daughter, Queen.
Throughout her life, Sally accomplished everything she set her mind to. She was a very busy and hardworking woman. As a young adult, before migrating to the US, she was a Midwife, helping women, mostly in Umuahia, Abia State, to safely get through their delivery journey. Sally also served as a Matron, managing care teams at Motherless Babies Home in Uzuakoli, Bende, Abia State. Upon relocating to the United States, Sally worked as a Registered Nurse for various facilities which included Adventist Hospital in Washington, DC.
Sally was a woman of faith. She loved the Lord and was determined to share Him with as many people as she could. She thoroughly enjoyed evangelism. She was on a divine mission to win souls for God. Along with going to church and having her Bible studies, Sally also loved to sing. Sally was blessed with a beautiful voice which she used to praise God.
Sally was a loving, caring, and generous soul. At work, she received numerous awards for her thoughtful and dedicated care for the patients she served. When she wasn’t at work, she was at her church, the Assemblies of God, where she cared for those in the community. Sally extended herself to help the needy and the poor. Sally often made sure that others were well taken care of even before herself. She had a true heart and the dedication to help in any way she could.
Salome Urenwa Ebogu departed this life on February 15, 2023, at the age of 73, at her daughter’s home in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She lived a life rich with generosity, kindness, and the love of God. She lived a life worthy of honor and celebration. She was deeply loved and will be truly missed.
Sally was predeceased by her husband, Jacob Ebogu.
Sally leaves to cherish her memory: her two sons, Charles Ogbonna and Justice Ebogu; her daughter, Queen Ebogu; sister, Elizabeth Nwosu; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.
At Sally’s request, she will be interred here in the United States of America.
