She is survived by her husband of 55 years, David Knight; children, John Knight and Rene Hall (Mark); siblings, Roy Newton and Stella Smith; one grandchild mark Hall, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Bennett, Haley and Hannah Heath, Kenny Heath, Patricia, Nick and Jodi Smith, Anson Smith and Lauren and Kyle Newton.
She is predeceased by her father Irvin Brooks and mother Juanita Newton.
The family will receive friends from 1- 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg chapel, where funeral services will be held at 2p.m.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
