Simmie, affectionately known as “Aaron” to family and friends, was born to Carolyn and Simmie E. Adams on October 25, 1961 in Ackerman Mississippi.
Simmie served honorably in the United States Army for 21 years and 8 months, as an Intelligence Analyst, Criminal Investigator and as a Counselor. He retired in 2006 as a First Sergeant in the Special Ops Community. He was awarded the following during his time in service; Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Army Superior Unit, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, SouthWest Asia Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NonCommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, UN Medal, KU-LIB-MDL (Saudi Arabia), KU-LIB-MDL (Kuwait), Driver and Mechanic Badge, Mechanic Basic Aviation Badge, Parachutist Badge, Ranger Course, Security Managers course, Special Security Officers Course. He served honorably in multiple combat tours to include, Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), and the Global War on Terrorism.
Simmie was known as a man of many talents. After retiring from the military he went on to earn his Doctorate in IO Psychology, published multiple books, and continued to use his skills to help others through life coaching and mentorship. As an avid pilot and horseman, Simmie spent his free time in the air or around the Adams Ark farm.
Simmie’s passion for life and compassion for others was expressed in every aspect of his life and relayed to every person he came into contact with. He could, and would, talk to any man, woman, or child that would listen, be it about a funny story from the farm, helpful life tips to help them on their journey, stories about all his children and grandchildrens accomplishments and milestones and just how proud he was every day of them, or just hours of talking about any and everything that popped into his head.
Simmie is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Tracy, his four children and their families; Daniel Adams, Danielle (Thomas) Fasciano, Mary (Chris) Mills, and Aimee Cobos; along with his 5 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Darryl and James (Julie) and their families, and his parents Carolyn and Simmie E. Adams.
Every task Simmie set his hat at, was completed with the utmost attention and excellence, a legacy he leaves us all with. In honoring Simmie’s memory, let us celebrate the extraordinary life of a man who touched the lives of many, leaving an enduring legacy of love, service, and inspiration.

Visitation will be from 9:00am-10:00am and his celebration of life will begin at 10:00am.
Simmie will be laid to rest with full Military honors at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date to be announced by the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Simmie’s name to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), or Fauquier SPCA.
