Stephani Talma Glover Rucker, age 45, was born on June 4, 1981, in Gainesville, Florida, and died on October 6, 2026. A beloved and cherished daughter, family member, and friend, Stephani will be remembered with deep respect for the steady dedication and hard work that shaped her life and the care she showed to those around her. She resided in Stafford, Virginia.
Stephani graduated from Warwick High School, Class of 1999, and went on to earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Business Administration. Her commitment to learning and achievement reflected the same determination that guided her throughout adulthood.
Stephani enlisted in the U.S. Army, answering a call to serve with discipline and purpose. Following her military service, she devoted 20 years to government work, building a career marked by reliability and persistence. She held several positions over the years, serving most recently as an analyst until her death.
Stephani is survived by her mother, Mama Joyce Glover Moody; and her fathers, Hampton Glover Sr. and Robin Moody. She also leaves a host of cousins, relatives, and friends, as well as nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry forward her memory with love and gratitude.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Alma Cox Nelson; her uncles, Kerry Jones and Thess Nelson; and her great uncle, Leo Cox.
Although we grieve the loss of Stephani, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved Shih Tzu fur baby, Nike. Her memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
Sharing of Memories will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA at 2:00 PM where a reception will follow at the funeral home hall from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
