

Theodore (Ted) Eisenman (known to his Navy peers as "Ike") of Fredericksburg VA died on April 27, 2023. Ted was born November 16, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in the suburb of Upper Arlington. He graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1976. During his twenty-one years with the United States Navy, he attained an Associate's Degree in Communications. After his Naval career came to a close, he continued his service to the military for an additional 17 years as a federal contractor. Most of all, he was known for community involvement by volunteering as an EMT in Prince William County for just over 7 years. As a volunteer EMT , Ted spent several days a week after his day employment staffing an ambulance to serve the needs of the community. He was also a loyal and active life member of the VFW and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Ted was preceded in death by his father Kenneth (a noted Upper Arlington police officer). He is survived by his wife Ruth, son Tony Hernandez, daughter Angie Testa, grandchildren Aubrey, Emma, Bennett, Grant and Brandon. Ted's remains will be given to the United States Navy for burial at sea. The family requests consideration be given to donate to a local veterans charity in Ted's name.
