Thomas Wayne Hoskins Sr.

Thomas was born February 1st, 1949, in Richmond Virginia, growing up alongside his 4 siblings. He enjoyed playing football and softball , and was a great athlete as a young man. Later on in life, he went on to pursue a career in truck driving. It was then he was able to travel across the country exploring new places and seeing new things. Many around him would consider him adventurous and wise with a great sense of humor.

His many life endeavors made him one of the best storytellers, stories in which will be told for generations to come. He was a member of Moose Lodge #1655 where they referred to him as “Big Drink”. There, he often took part in dart tournaments and ultimately built fraternal brotherhood. Sometime after that, he spent most of his days in Fredericksburg, VA creating his own legacy, raising his 4 children and nurturing his many Grandchildren with love, compassion, and dignity.

He loved his family ever so deeply. His love and compassion radiated throughout him and anyone that has crossed his path, often welcoming people with an open heart. Some things that made him happy were, playing Madden with his Grandsons, enjoying his morning coffee, watching sports, Nascar, and his daughter’s delicious cooking. He always made it a point to remind everyone how much they meant to him and how deeply he loved them.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings; George F. Hoskins, Annie Mae Fallin Hoskins, Bernard A. Hoskins, Peggy Jane Swan- Brown, and Edward Lee Hoskins. He is Survived by 1 sister Joyce A. Pratt and 1 brother John F. Hoskins. He leaves behind 4 children. Thomas W. Hoskins Jr, Bryan D. Hoskins, Jason B. Hoskins, and Jessica J. Hoskins. 7 Grandchildren; Caleb Hoskins (Bryan), Nic Hoskins (Jason), Anna Hoskins (Jason), Nathan Hoskins (Jessica) , Annie Mae S. Hoskins (Jason), River Coleman (Jessica), and Jovan Purcee (Jessica). And 1 Great Grandson August J. Hoskins (Nathan).

A Visitation will be held at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service Fredericksburg Chapel on Saturday 9/26 from 12 PM - 2 PM.
