Vidya Devi Chalise age 81, died, June 26, 2025 at Fredericksburg Health and Rehab surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 29, 1943 Gaur (Rautahat), Nepal the second daughter of Lila Raj Upadhaya and Radha Devi Upadhayay. She was married to late Madhav Nath Chalise until his passing in 2019,
She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, like making beautiful sweaters, sewing garments and delighted loved once with delicious baking and cooking. She had a heart of gold and welcome everyone with open arms. She was known for her warm hospitality and her ability to make everyone feel like family.
She is survived by her four sons Raju Chalise, Ranjan Chalise, Robin Chalise, Rajesh Chalise. Four daughters-in-law Snehlata Chalise, Shailaja Chalise, Archana Chalise and Bhawana Chalise. Also Grandchildren Rebecca Chalise (Prachanda S.), Rebha Chalise, Rohan Chalise (Nagma P.), Rivesh Chalise (Monisha R.), Riya Chalise, Abvishek Chalise and Akanchhaya Chalise as well as great-grandson Ayaan Subedi.
