

Vincent Cusack, 85, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Charter Senior Living of Fredericksburg. Born on February 18, 1939, in New York, he was the son of the late Thomas Cusack and Rita Geary.
Vince was known for his infectious love of life, which he shared with everyone around him. A lifelong Washington Commanders fan, he took great joy in cheering on his team, win or lose. He had a passion for dancing, enjoyed golfing, and above all, loved spending time with his family. He was married to the love of his life, Ryda Cusack, for 48 years until her passing in 2010. Together, they created a home full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
As a proud Navy veteran, Vince served his country with honor and was deeply committed to his community, particularly in his time spent living in the Lake of the Woods neighborhood. Professionally, Vince had a successful career with Oldelft Corporation of America (formerly Aerojet Deflt), where he started in the shipping department and worked his way up to become President over a span of more than 30 years.
Vince is survived by his son, Sean Cusack (spouse Angela); daughter, Noel Klimenko (spouse Dimitri); brothers, Michael Cusack and Patrick Cusack (spouse Donna); grandchildren, Shannon Cusack Hoskins (spouse Sam), Courtney Robinson, Connor Klimenko, and Kylie Klimenko; and great-grandchild, Robert Cusack Hoskins. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Hildegard D’Ambrosio, as well as his beloved nephews and nieces: Gina Noel D’Ambrosio, Michael D’Ambrosio (spouse Christy), Brendan Cusack (spouse Kerry), and Sean Thomas Cusack, along with great-nephews, Seamus and Liam Cusack and Leo and Vinny D’Ambrosio.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at noon at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401. Visitation will begin at 11 AM, preceding the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the **National Kidney Foundation** in Vince’s memory.
