Violet M. Kimble

Violet M. Kimble, age 83, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA. She was born on November 21, 1940 in Liberty, PA to the late Bert and Mary (Price) Miller. She married the love of her life, Edward Kimble on April 22,1961 and they moved to Virginia where they started their family. Together they built over 25 houses, including The Family Restaurant in Montross. Violet worked for the U.S. Government for 37 years. Following her retirement at Dahlgren, she became boss lady and personal chef of Kimble and Sons Excavating. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, gardening, doing puzzles, playing solitaire and trying her luck at the casino. She loved volunteering at ReTail and Habitat for Humanity. She was a hard worker who was always keeping herself busy. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all. Predeceased by her parents; loving husband: Edward L. Kimble; son: James Kimble and daughter: Janet Balderson. Survivors include her son: Phillip L. Kimble (Tracey); brother: Victor Miller; grandchildren: Jeremiah Dawson (Pamela), Joseph Dawson (Sarah), Jonathan Dawson (Ann), Heather Kimble, Stephane Kimble, Brittany Kimble and Jesse Balderson; great grandchildren: Gabriella Kimble, Kinslee Burke, Landon Arrington, Kaliv Arrington, Marissa Dawson, Brody Dawson, Noah Dawson and Blake Dawson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401 with Pastor John Hodgen officiating. The family welcomes everyone to visit with them one hour prior to the service.
