William Robert Eldridge III

William Robert Eldridge III (Bill), 69, of Fredericksburg, VA gained his wings on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Bill was born in Rockwood, Tennessee to William Robert Eldridge Jr. and Mary Ellen Eldridge who preceded him in death. He passed away peacefully in his sleep as a result of complications due to COVID-19. Bill was a lifelong member of Local Union 602 Steamfitters and proud to be an American. He was funny, stubborn, sarcastic, and raised hell for more than six decades. He enjoyed an ice-cold beer, luxury cars, fishing, hunting, and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. Above all, Bill loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Teresa Ann Eldridge (Terry); sons, William Eldridge IV (WR) and Andrew Eldridge (Andy); daughter, Sharon Haines (Beth) and son-in-law Donnie Haines; brother, Gary Eldridge, and wife Linda; sister, Rhonda Eldridge Rosario, and husband Abraham (AB); 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
