

Originally born and raised in Leesburg, Virginia to Clarence and Louise Scott, he was the youngest of 8 children. Being the youngest he was very close to his mother and a protector.
As William became older, he joined the Army in 1956 and was an exceptional soldier and was honorably discharged in 1958 to care for his ailing Dad. William has always been a go-getter, caring, and loving person. Later, after the death of his Dad, William answered a much higher call resulting in attending and graduating with honors at the Tri County Bible College and Seminary.
Now with his wife Mildred Scott and his son Joseph Scott, William than became an ordained Pastor to the Macedonia Baptist church of Bryans Road, Maryland. Later Reverend Scott became to Pastor the Mount Zion Baptist church in Fredericksburg Virginia for 19 years. Pastor Reverend Scott did not take preaching lightly and loved to baptize the ones who came to Christ. He preached to anyone if you had an ear to hear.
Pastor Rev. Scott enjoyed traveling to Hampton Virginia for the minister’s conference and later became Doctorate of Divinity. Pastor Scott was dedicated in his work for Christ and was truly gifted by the Lord. The Lord was with him, and he cherished the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Pastor Scott is survived by his niece of Leesburg VA Lillian Smith and family, his friend and caregiver Brother Walter McDowell and extended family and friends. He was well respected and loved by many and his presence on this earth will surely, be missed, but never forgotten because he touched so many lives.
