Anna was born May 22, 1944, the only child of Martin H. and Kathryn (Stephens) Klick of McCredie, both deceased.
Anna attended the one-room Scott School in Callaway County, then graduated from Fulton High School in 1962 and University of Missouri/Columbia in 1966.
Anna taught Home Economics at Dora and New Haven, returning to Columbia in 1968 where she briefly worked for UMC. She then spent 25 years at the Missouri Department of Social Services. After leaving MDSS, Anna served a five-county area as a coordinator for children with special health care needs. She often said that this job was her favorite because it was so rewarding.
Anna was an Avon salesperson for several decades and received orders from two of her long-time customers the week before her passing. She served as the secretary/treasurer for the Klick Family Reunion for many years.
Anna joined 4-H while in grade school and continued with multiple Extension programs, ending with membership in the Callaway County branch of the Missouri Association for Family and Community Education. She called the MAFCE ladies her “Club”, rarely missing a meeting until ill health prevented her attendance.
Survivors include cousins from both the Klick and Stephens families and her many friends at MAFCE.
Anna requested that there be no formal visitation or funeral services. She will be laid to rest in the Auxvasse City Cemetery next to her parents.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 2 to 4 pm, at the Auxvasse Community Center at 702 S. Main Street in Auxvasse, Missouri. If you knew Anna at any time during her life, please come and visit with us.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Anna has requested donations to MAFCE in care of the Fulton Community and Extension Club, c/o Becky Lewis, 820 Segelhorst Rd., Leslie, MO 63056.
