

Beatrice Gail Wright, 68, of Calwood passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013. She was born April 1, 1944 in Detroit, Mi., the daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Gertrude Virginia (Church) Grojean.
She was united in marriage to Dudley “Hooker” Wright on March 2, 1963. He survives at their home.
Beatrice was a warm, loving and caring woman whose world revolved around her family. Spending time with her grandchildren was one of the greatest joys of her life. She attended Ebenezer Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, the ocean, cooking, and bird watching. She held a special place in her heart for her cat, Pearl.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 50 years; son, Richard Wright and fiancé Mari Tharp of Calwood; daughter, Lori Wright and “should-be-son-in-law”, Dale Turner of Fulton; grandchildren, Richard Heckemeyer of Idaho; Rebecca Wright and fiancé Brandon Matteson of Calwood, Jesse Wright of Calwood, and Hailey Salmons of Fulton; and great-grandchildren, Keitan and Eli Matteson of Calwood.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 22 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Fulton with Pastor Mike Crowson and Reverend Walter Lockhart officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm on Thursday, February 21 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.
In lieu of customary memorials, the family suggests donations be made in Beatrice’s name to Ebenezer Baptist Church, c/o Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, Mo. 65251.
