Betty was born on March 5, 1931 in Calwood, MO the daughter of Jewett and Ethel (Potts) Wright who preceded her in death. She attended Fulton High School and was a faithful and active member of Central Christian Church. On October 15, 1948, in Fulton, MO she was united in marriage to Wallace “Wally” Harris who preceded her in death on May 29, 2017. She worked at Samuels Shoe Factory in the fitting room for several years. She then worked for Westminster College as a press operator in the mail room, retiring after 19 years. After retirement, she and Wallace enjoyed traveling with friends. Betty treasured her time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include: one son, Kirby Harris (Nancy) of Fulton, MO; two daughters, Linda Duffy of Columbia, MO and Donna Andrade (Anthony Bush) of Fulton, MO; daughter-in-law, Mary Harris of Fulton, MO; seven grandchildren, David Duffy (Janet), Deanne Stubblefield (Danny), Chastity Warrington (Jeff), Caleb Harris (Gina), Micah Harris (Amanda), Tyler Harris (Megan) and Ricky Lee (Amanda); 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and one special sister, Katherine Foster. She was also preceded in death by her son, Darrell Harris; granddaughter, Melissa Harris; son-in-law, Don Duffy; four brothers, Madison Wright, Ted Wright, Junior Wright and Tommy Wright and two sisters, Louise Dudley and Shirley Blansett.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Central Christian Church, Fulton, MO. Funeral service will follow at Noon at the church with Rev Bill Nigus officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Central Christian Cemetery, Fulton, MO.
