Betty Sims

She was united in marriage to Robert Miller in the early 1980’s. He preceded her in death in October of 1995. She later married Clevie (Bill) Sims in May of 1998. He survives.

Betty loved to write songs and poems. She had a green thumb and could often be found working in her flower garden. She was a member of the Pentecostal church in Montgomery City.

She is also survived by four sons, Keith Schellhardt of Granite City, Ill., Richard Schellhardt of Lee’s Summit, Matthew Schellhardt of Granite City, Ill., and Tony Schellhardt of Fla.; daughter, Pamela Moore of Ky.; and one sister, Hazel Perry of Granite City, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; and two sisters, Carmelita and Helen.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, March 22 at Baue Funeral Home in O’Fallon. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Glen Carbon, Ill. The family will receive friend from 5 until 8 pm on Wednesday, March 21 at the Baue Funeral Home.
