Betty was born March 25, 1933, in St. Louis the daughter of Joseph F. & Oma E. (Branson) Smith who preceded her in death. She married Louis Steinrauf in 1955 in St. Louis County, Missouri. They were married for 55 years until Louis’ death in 2010. She married Richard Henry in 2012. He preceded her in death in 2019.
Betty retired from the Fulton State Hospital in 1995 after 30 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Fulton Garden Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She spent many hours volunteering. Betty moved to be near her daughter in St. Louis County in 2019
Betty will be lovingly missed by her daughter, Debra Veatch & husband Roy of Manchester, MO, two sons, Robert Steinrauf & wife Heidi of McLean, VA, and Steven Steinrauf & wife Mary of Fulton, three grandsons, Ryan Veatch & wife Faith, Jason Veatch & wife Yuko, and John Krause-Steinrauf, and one granddaughter Anna Krause-Steinrauf. She is also preceded in death by one brother.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, MO. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 10:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Fulton with Pastor Aaron White officiating. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
