Carol Ann Sowder

have a memory or condolence to add?

In a school with many outstanding students, Carol stood out as the best student I ever had. Her work was consistently of the highest order; complete, neat and erudite. She did it all with calmness, confidence and grace without any touch of arrogance or superiority.

She was a person one remembers for a lifetime. All who knew her were better for the experience.

Carol was a senior when I was a freshman at UNC. Carol helped me settle in to college life and got me started at a good evangelical church. I will always treasure that one year together we had. She was a mini-mom, and we have kept up with Christmas letters over the years. I know she is with our Lord now but leaves broken hearts behind.

Carol radiated Jesus to all. You learned just from being in her presence. So many words describe her: wise, caring, thoughtful, mission minded, discerning, and the list could just keep going. We are all so much better from knowing Carol! Love and prayers to you, Stephen, Aaron and family. Doyle and Phyllis

Thoughts and prayers for all your family Stephen. Did not know Carol that well except I do recall the trip to Ridgecrest back in early 80’s and what fun we all had.

Stephen, we'll be praying for you and your family during this time of change, adjustment, and "remembering." We knew Carol best from the updates your mom gave us. She was truly a very special person, wife, and mom.

Stephen and family. I know this a sad time for all of you. Peace and comfort in knowing Carol has the peace she certainly deserved. Your faithful care of her for the last few years showed how much she was loved. Rest in your assurance.

I loved working with Carol at MSD when she would sub. She was a gentle spirit and a wonderful lady. I am sorry her tasks on this earth are done so soon but she did a marvelous job while she was here. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. I know it will take time but the hole left with her leaving us will be filled with wonderful memories of her compassion, caring and that beautiful smile. I wish God's strength to her family and may He comfort them with his blessing.
