David Elby Shafer

David was born on July 20, 1959, in Arcata, CA the son of Richard and Edith (Roth) Shafer who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1977-1978. On September 3, 1981, he was united in marriage to Diana Williams in Fulton, MO. David was an avid outdoorsman, where enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and gardening. His craftsmanship for woodworking was top-notch and there was nothing he could not build. He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, dog and friends.

Survivors include: his wife of 41 years, Diana Shafer of the home; two sons, Jeremy Shafer (Taren) of Williamsburg and Jerad Shafer of Fulton, MO; two daughters, Jade Shafer of Weatherford, OK and Jamey Banks (Micah) of Weatherford, OK; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and his dog and best friend, Emmi-Goo.
