I am so sorry to hear about Doris. My God give you peace and love during this difficult time. I don't think I'll be able to make it to the funeral but I wanted you to know I am thinking of you all. She was an awesome lady.

To Sara and all of Doris's family. I have known Doris since High School although we didn't hang out together. She was a gracious "kid" back then and one of the sweetest teenagers I knew. She always had a smile for everyone and I loved seeing her whenever we met either on the streets of Fulton or even in Walmart! She will be missed by many folks. Her friendliness and smiling face is a great loss for everyone. God give you comfort and peace and fill the hole in your hearts with wonderful memories.

She was a couple years older than me but I remember sitting in the auditorium at the old high school with her before school started. Saw her picture and immediately remembered the compassionate person I knew. God be with her family. RIP old friend.

To the family of Doris,

I have so many beautiful memories of my times with Doris. She was a very loving, caring and very smart person. We had so many fun times together and I am so grateful she was there to help me through one of the very worst periods of my life.

We grew apart through no fault of hers but mine (I found out years later) and I prayed and asked for her forgiveness.

I know she loved her family with all her heart and would have done anything for anyone, especially those she held dear.

May the Lord bless and comfort all of you as you suffer the loss of such an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, friend, cousin, etc. I know the Lord has welcomed her with open arms and we will all see her again someday.

Love and hugs,
Brenda Hoover Saxe

This woman had a heart of gold. She was like a 2nd mother to alot of us bratty kids and young adults growing up. She will be missed by many and was loved by many. Tell Mom I said hi. I know she was waiting at the gate for ya Doris.

Four years ago I met my husband David Swartwood. It was a must that I meet David’s best friends Paul and Doris....I was so nervous but Doris was so kind to me...She did ask a lot of questions because as she stated “I want to know what your intentions are toward David”.
On that day we had a great talk and created many memories throughout our time as friends. She made me feel like family....

Paul so sorry for your loss. Doris was a good person. We bowled on a team together years ago and really enjoyed bowling with her. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
