Edwin Leo Morris, 60, of Auxvasse, Missouri, passed away on September 24, 2026, following a courageous two-year journey with cancer.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Ed was the son of David and Patricia Morris. He earned degrees in mathematics and French from Pittsburg State University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. Ed enjoyed a successful career as a consultant in the St. Louis area.
Ed met his beloved wife, Cheryl, while playing on a local darts team. They married on September 24, 1994, and shared 32 years of love, laughter, family, travel, and adventure. They raised their children, Bethany and Jacob, near Auxvasse.
Affectionately called by his wife, a “renaissance man,” Ed was endlessly curious and loved learning. He had many talents and hobbies and approached each new interest with enthusiasm, skill, and his trademark attention to detail. He also loved the Kansas City Chiefs, UFC fights, camping, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Ed is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children, Bethany and Jacob Morris; mother, Patricia Morris; sister, Cris (Wendell) Pearcy; brother, Dean Morris; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, David Morris.
Ed was a member of the Auxvasse Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Auxvasse Christian Church outreach programs.
An Open House Celebration of Life will be held November 7, 2026 at the Auxvasse Christian Church Fellowship Hall, Auxvasse, Missouri from 1-4 pm with a program at 2:00 pm.
