Gary F. Burkett

Gary Burkett, 75, of Columbia, passed away on October 28, 2014.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.

Gary was born October 7, 1939 in Fulton to Henry and Sylvia Sanders Burkett and they preceded him in death. He was married to Katherine Bockhold McMillen on May 9, 1992 in Columbia and she survives.

He attended Hickman High School in Columbia and served in the United States Army. Gary worked as a painting owner/operator extraordinaire. After his retirement he enjoyed refinishing furniture, camping, spending weekends at the Lake and he was known as a great gardener.

Gary is also survived by son, James (Joanna) Burkett and their son Brian of Higbee, Missouri and sister-in-law, Pat (Sam) Andrews of Columbia.
