Jaunita Fern Wood

Jaunita was born on April 7, 1936, in Barnett, MO the daughter of George and Nola (Shockley) Wood who preceded her in death. She was a nurse’s aide for several years at Fulton State Hospital before retiring. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, riding motorcycles, keeping her home and yard immaculate and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include: two daughters, Nola Hale of Fulton, MO and Teresa “Terry” Barton of Fulton, MO; one brother, Don Robinson (Jan) of Tebbetts, MO; four grandchildren, Billy Warfel, Robert Warfel, Jay Foster and Charles Foster and four great-grandchildren, Bishop Foster, Gus Foster, Abby Foster and Camaron Foster. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessie Warfel; one sister, Louise Henley and three brothers, Kenneth Wood, Hade Wood and Daniel Robinson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Linuel Horton officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date in Hopewell Cemetery near Versailles, MO.
